e-Vermont initiatives in Middlesex were spearheaded by the Town Meeting Solutions Committee in conjunction with the Rumney School, town government, and other organizations. In one short year, the team delivered:
- 46 netbook packages and training to ensure that every Rumney School student in grades 5 and 6 receives a 21st century education;
- A free Front Porch Forum online neighborhood forum that 562 subscribers in town used more than 2000 times to buy and trade household goods, promote local events and volunteer needs, recommend local businesses, and much more;
- Public access hot spots for Middlesex residents who lack computer equipment, Internet access, or comfort navigating the web;
- Read about many other accomplishments in the Middlesex Re-cap (pdf).
