In this segment of VPR's Vermont Edition, Jane Lindholm talks with Parker Riehle, president of the Vermont Ski Areas Association, a non-profit trade association; Mat Barewicz, who heads the Economic & Labor Market Information Division at the Vermont Department of Labor; and Kenneth Jones, an economic research analyst for the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development as they consider how this winter's weird weather has been affecting the state's economy - from tourism and the ski slopes to heating costs, retail, and beyond.

Later in the program, they discuss a new economic development plan that highlights ways to grow jobs by adopting, mitigating and reversing the effects of climate change with Paul Costello, executive director of the Vermont Council on Rural Development.
